IL001 – InLoox PM Installation and Administration

Once you have completed the training, you will be able to administrate an InLoox PM installation in a professional manner and to carry out complex configurations. The training is geared particularly towards system administrators and covers only the Workgroup and Enterprise Editions.

This training will give you the necessary knowledge to successfully implement InLoox PM. It covers such subjects as the system requirements, the selection of a suitable database, the installation of Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition (optional), the configuration of the database user-rights, the installation of the InLoox PM database, and the installation of the InLoox PM client.

On request, the course will also teach you how to set up the offline replication, how to install Windows Terminal Server as well as the process of upgrading.

Finally, the course will focus on the configuration options of InLoox PM. Using a concrete example, you’ll learn how to deal with both simple and complex authorization scenarios including the setting of account and role rights. The correct configuration of project numbers, statuses, groups, custom fields, views, etc. helps to avoid subsequent corrections, creates clear workflows and facilitates acceptance of the software by the users.

In addition, you’ll learn how to master not just the minor problems of users, but also the major disasters, such as server crashes.

IL002 – Successfully plan and manage projects in Outlook with InLoox PM

Objective and target audience
Once you have completed the training, you will be able to use InLoox PM on a professional level. You will acquire a basic knowledge of project management, time planning as well as personal time management, which you will be able to put into practice immediately.

The training is primarily designed to suit the needs of project managers and managers, but is also suitable for team members, who would like acquire basic project management skills and who would like to refine or refresh their InLoox PM knowledge.

In this course, you will learn how to make the best use of InLoox PM. You will learn the basics of project and time management to allow you to achieve your goals quickly and efficiently.

The course will introduce you to the basic terms, responsibilities, and typical tasks associated with project management, as well as the demands and expectations that you will have to meet. The training will also teach you how to manage the project’s challenges, e.g. through professional and effective communication with the project participants.

Finally, you will learn how to use InLoox PM. The training will familiarize the participants with essential functions of InLoox PM. In addition to the theoretical presentation, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the following subjects:

  • Creation new projects and definition of responsibilities
  • Brainstorming with mind maps (not for InLoox Web App)
  • Creation of project time plans with work packages
  • Follow up and delegation
  • Collation of project time sheets and feedback of project progress
  • Meetings reports and telephone notes
  • Project-based document management
  • Project communication
  • Project budgeting incl. costing (optional)
  • Creation of reports and status reports

IL003 – Introduction to InLoox PM

Once you have completed the training, you will be able to use InLoox PM at a professional level. The training is geared towards InLoox PM users, who want to improve or refresh their knowledge of InLoox PM.

In this course, you will learn how to make the best use of InLoox PM. You will familiarize yourself with all essential functions of InLoox PM. In addition to the theoretical presentation, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the following subjects:

IL004 – Successfully modify and create InLoox PM reports

Objective and target audience
Once you have completed the training, you will be able to design customized reports.
The training is geared towards system administrators and a good technical understanding is a prerequisite.
Mastery of at least one programming language is preferable, to help you implement custom logic.

This training will teach you how to design report templates, using the InLoox PM report generator.

The course will give you knowledge about the operation of the report generator (concepts, data schemes, containers, lists and fields). Example projects will give you an opportunity to get hands-on experience of implementing what you have learned about:

  • Creating template-based reports
  • Report template management and template import and export
  • Modifying existing reports (layout, font style, field selection, and automatic formatting)
  • Creating new reports: data hierarchy, selecting an appropriate report container, and report types (lists, graphics, charts, and cross tabulation)
  • Output format (general settings, print media, page size and orientation)
  • Concepts of user-defined fields: displaying and interpreting
  • Programming (optional): interpretation of fields, formulae, if-then statements, functions,
  • and monitoring and interpretation of user inputs
